The valves were in very good condition. Lots of carbon build-up on the top of the intake valve, and lots of carbon build up stem of the exhaust valve. That's all evidence that there's some oil going past the exhaust valve guide. Nothing major. Seat faces are in excellent shape. Lifters and valve stems show that both valves rotate in the block as designed, more so on the exhaust valve. Even the cam lobes show the offset wear pattern responsible for making the valves rotate.
